Turn paper
into something new.
It's the project Uashmama
On 21 march 1956, in Monsummano Terme, was born Marco Marconi.
Like for Botticelli with his “Venere”, also for Marco Marconi the Spring was propitious
for his creativity, which was one of his characteristics since his childhood.
I don’t want to talk to much about him, I’m sure he wouldn’t like, so I start talking about
one of his project, Uashmama.
The project Uashmama is a sort of philosophy for Marco Marconi; it’s a project that links innovation with the old techniques of our Tuscan tradition.
It’s a project where the protagonist is paper, a kind of paper that can be turned into something different but that, at the same time, it’s always the same.
With this paper we create lot of products that combine functionality, tradition
and innovation. Old and new come together in a perfect harmony!
